Day of photonics 2020

On 21 October 1983, the General Conference on Weights and Measures adopted value for the speed of light.
On the occasion of this anniversary, every year hundreds of activities are voluntarily organised over around the world. The purpose is to promote photonics and inform the general public on what are photonics technologies, why they are important, and generally support this key-enabling technology.
Baltic Photonics Cluster invites You to be part of activities related to the day of photonics 2020: either take part in relevant webinars or organize an event to promote photonics around 21st of October 2020.
3rd Biophotonics Riga announcement
24 – 26 of August, 2020
Riga, Latvia

The 3rd International Conference “Biophotonics-Riga” will follow the traditions of the first two conferences held in 2013 and 2017. It will take place in the brand new campus of University of Latvia. Invited and regular oral reports will be presented along with the poster session where the best student poster will be awarded.
The main topics:

* Optical clinical diagnostics and monitoring
* Skin optics and spectroscopy
