Matthias Meisner

Biography

Matthias Meisner is a Development Engineer and Technical Sales Engineer at Photonics Foundry GmbH, where he works on the development and industrialization of photonic packaging and assembly processes. With more than five years of experience in photonics, optics, automation, and machine vision, his background covers process development, automated systems, prototyping, system commissioning, and the transition from development to production.

He has worked on the development and implementation of automated photonic assembly systems, as well as on automation and optical inspection solutions for industrial manufacturing. He holds an M.Sc. in Production Engineering from the University of Bremen.

His work focuses on taking photonic products from the initial idea through prototyping and process development to automated, production-ready solutions, helping developers shorten development cycles and bring new photonic technologies to market faster.
